  • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Lite – Introduction

    This introduction course is an ideal course for those with a general interest in mental health. On this introduction course, you will be able to define mental health and some common mental health issues. Identify stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health issues, relate to people’s experiences and support people in distress and look after your own mental health. We are happy to deliver this course externally for groups of eight or more.

  • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Adult Course

    The course is for everyone aged 16 and upwards and you don’t need any qualifications or experience in mental health to take part. The course is delivered over two or four sessions, you will need to attend all sessions to receive MHFA accreditation. The course covers the following topics: What is mental health? How to reduce the stigma of mental health. You will learn about suicide, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-harm and psychosis. Each session you will learn techniques to spot the early signs of a mental health issue, gain confidence helping someone experiencing a mental health issue, provide help on a first aid basis and prevent someone from hurting themselves or others. You will learn how to help stop a mental health issue from getting worse and how to help someone recover faster and guide them towards the right support. We are happy to deliver this course externally for groups of eight or more.
