This course is for anyone wishing to understand what counselling is about. It will introduce you to some counselling theories, enable you to practise and develop listening skills and give you an understanding of the different training routes into counselling work. You will build a portfolio of evidence. Enrolment on the Introduction is mandatory.
The Level 3 Diploma in Counselling introduces you to the three main theoretical approaches to counselling and shows you what you can expect from working with counselling agencies. As part of this qualification, you can volunteer to work for an agency in a non-counselling capacity. Working on an agency-based project is also an effective way of securing a work placement for further counselling experience. You will build a portfolio of evidence. Learning Loans and instalment payments are available to cover the course fees.
