    Level 3 Certificate in British Sign Language (BSL) caters for the learning needs of those who already have competence in BSL at Level 2. The Award in Signing and Receiving Skills in British Sign Language is designed to develop your ability to communicate in the British Sign Language.     Level 3 Award in Education & Training

    This Level 3 introductory course is aimed at those considering working as a teacher in the Learning and Skills sector (post 14). This short course provides a valuable toolkit for new teachers that includes teaching roles and responsibilities, approaches to learning, assessment as well as the opportunity to undertake a small scale teaching session. You need to have a specialist subject you wish to teach, and access to ICT to produce the written work. You can progress onto either the Certificate or the Diploma in Education and Training.     Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in the Classroom

    This full Level 3 Certificate course is the natural progression for those who have achieved the Level 2 qualification. The course will build your confidence and awareness around your role and responsibilities, as well as equipping you with a range of skills, knowledge and experiences to enable you to excel in your job. You must be working in Primary or Secondary education (not Early Years) for a minimum of eight hours a week. Applicants should be confident in their use of IT (Word/PowerPoint) and will be invited to a pre-course interview to determine suitability for the course. All successful applicants will need to attend an induction session on Thursday 28th September 2017. Learning Loans and instalment payments are available to cover course fees.

    Level 3 Diploma in Counselling

    The Level 3 Diploma in Counselling introduces you to the three main theoretical approaches to counselling and shows you what you can expect from working with counselling agencies. As part of this qualification, you can volunteer to work for an agency in a non-counselling capacity. Working on an agency-based project is also an effective way of securing a work placement for further counselling experience. You will build a portfolio of evidence.     Level 3 Certificate in Cover Supervision

    While the Level 3 Certificate in Cover Supervision includes units in common with the Level 3 Certificate and Diploma, it also includes a specialist unit on providing classroom cover. This reflects the differences between the cover supervisor and teaching assistant roles. Candidates must be school support staff, working under the direction of a teacher, with individual pupils and groups in the primary or secondary education sector. You must be working in a classroom for at least eight hours per week in a paid capacity, as we will need to observe you in the workplace. This course will explore your role and responsibilities, as well as extend your depth of knowledge of local and national policies and procedures, increasing your employability skills. Applicants should hold level 2 in English and maths, as well as have access to basic IT packages, such as Word and PowerPoint. You will be invited to a pre-course interview to ascertain suitability for the programme. Instalments and/or access to Learning Loans are available to pay for this course. If you have already completed the Level 3 Certificate and/or Diploma, you may be exempt from some units. This can be discussed in your interview.
